Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:1 Notice no TITLES! Just humility! Let this mind me in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, Philippians 2:5-7. Notice Galatians 1:1 Paul, an APOSTLE not apostle Paul. Notice the first verse or salutations in many of the letters, no TITLES. No prophet Paul, no pastor Paul, no bishop Paul, no evangelist Paul, no rabbi Paul, no doctor Paul, and most of all no “reverend Paul”. The only reference I find for reverend is when the bible refers to God Almighty, hardly a TITLE for a human being. Psalm 111:9 He sent redemption unto His people; He hath commanded His covenant forever: Holy and Reverend is His name! Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering TITLES unto man. For I know not to give flattering TITLES: in so doing my maker would soon take me away. Job 32:21,22. God is no respecter of persons, than why should we be? Acts 10:34 We do not have a priesthood in the New Testament except the priesthood of all believers. For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people. 1Peter 2:9 Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: For God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. We are to submit one to the other, not to lord it over each other. Elders are to keep order in the meetings, provide fellowship and teaching, but always to encourage the believer to study to show themselves approved. To be a berean, a free thinker who can oppose heresy and error, to earnestly contend for the faith. None of us have all the answers and we can learn from each other. A mature leader should not be threatened by the truth, but in humility admit when we have missed it, not trying to hide behind our TITLES as if it is a shield of perfection or spiritual superiority. Why can’t you just be John, or David, or Mary, or just plain Juanita? That’s who you are anyway in real life. "Oh wretched man that I am!" Quoting Paul the apostle. He said he counted the things of this life as dung. We are all anointed, all believers, and are “called into the ministry”, all believers can lay hands on the sick, all believers can evangelize and well that they should and not send the money to you so you can do it for them. People do not need ministers to pray for them when you must send in a seed faith gift with the request! What a con!!! Brothers and sisters God hears your prayers just like he hears Benny's, Oral's, and all the rest. God does not have special people with special anointings, to get from God what you can get for yourself. Oh yea of little faith! Only JESUS can help you. My advice to some of the so called anointed ones is to take off the funny costumes, drop the TITLES, take off the collars, and all the paraphernalia that goes with religious bondage and enjoy the FREEDOM God has given you.
